Greetings, I'm considering purchasing the AirPods Pro 2nd gen with USB charging case (2023 model) from an eBay seller. The item is listed as new in an open box. However, upon verifying the serial number on Apple's coverage checker, it indicates that the warranty has already expired. I find this perplexing, as these AirPods were released just last September.

Tried checking the coverage again, and now it displays this message : We’re sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced. Please check your information and try again. If your information is correct, you may need to contact us.
So, the seller of the AirPod Pro seems to have had the devices replaced by Apple, probably under warranty, I guess.
I would buy another pair of AirPod Pro, that have a valid warranty.
Did you contact the official Apple Support or the seller about this?
Then you will have to contact the official Apple Support, they will be able to look into that.

That would be the only way to find out, if the serial number is a legit one for 2nd Gen or if the AirPod Pro are 1st Gen.
