Customizing Desktop Stacks?

I use stacks to organize my desktop, but I would like to remove a few items from the stack they are grouped into. For example, the Documents stack has a bunch of Excel and Word files, but also contains aliases to my Parallels virtual machines.

Is it possible to exclude these from the Documents stack while keeping them on the Desktop?

Put the Parellel's aliases in a folder of their own. Folders do not stack. Otherwise, one cannot configure Stacks to ignore certain file types.

If you want to use an alias, but not on the Desktop, and thus, out of Stacks reach, perhaps drag and drop the alias onto the Dock. That would give you one-click launch of Parallels. Or place the folder containing the Parallel's aliases onto Dock and configure that presentation so you just click that folder and again, a single-click of the alias to launch Parallels.

Although I have Parallels Pro 19.2, I do not use aliases to launch it or guests as I find when launching Parallels, I usually need access to more than one guest.
