Bad enough that my Notes are missing, but I also can't open files because passwords are not recognized and they are not in Key Chain. So I change the passwords and save, but then on the next attempt I still can't log in. And, I am missing many many Word files. Using MacBook Air, Ventura 13.6.1. What is going on?

I don't know how it happened. I didn't migrate to a new computer. The system might have upgraded but I can't be sure because it upgrades by itself overnight. All I know is that a few days ago the login problem started. Some of the passwords had disappeared from Key Chain and I had to get new passwords. I went into my Notes and they were all old with many missing. I went into my old computer and found the Word docs but no Notes, just the old ones. I'm sorry I don't have any more information. Wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences.
How did this come about? Did you migrate to a new computer? Upgrade the operating system? We need additional information.
