Background music and video

Hello,

How come whenever I am playing media on my iphone 14 pro, whether being on YouTube Premium or Spotify, and I turn the screen off or switch apps, the video/music stops for a second every single time.

At first I have contacted YouTube support team but they didn't seem to have an answer. And since this happens with all apps that support background play, I assume it's iOS issue.

This started happening around 5 weeks ago. It never happened before.

YouTube is not an Apple Product. Contact the app developer here --> App Support or YouTube Help - Google Support

and I believe if all apps that have the background feature, encounter the same issue, then it is most likely an iOS issue, this cannot related to all the apps if few weeks ago, all these apps used to run with no issue.

I use YouTube Premium but have no issues as mentioned by you.

See the pics below. The pic indicates that either you do not have YT Premium or you have not contacted YouTube --> App Support or YouTube Help - Google Support

This answer is irrelevant, because I have YouTube Premium, and I have contacted YouTube, so I don't know where those assumptions came up from.
