Almost daily I get anonymous text messages with no associated phone number, which is an obvious phishing scam wanting me to reply or click on a link. I do not reply STOP to avoid indicating they've reached a human. I always "delete and report junk" but it doesn't stop. How can I block an anonymous message sender?

All incoming messages are grey so that's normal. What's more concerning is the fact that you see no number at all. I suspect that may even be illegal. I'd suggest contacting your carrier. It's not an immediate stop but it may help in the long run.

Can you post a screenshot of the message? It sounds like an issue to bring up with your carrier, but photo would help.

Attached is a screenshot. I did click on Info for the “contact” and selected “block this contact” so hope that works.
Are these SMS (green bubble) or iMessage (blue bubble)?
