I tried to back up my old phone into my MacBook. I backed it up. I plugged in my new phone to get the info from my old phone into new and it requires a password for it. I tried all the passwords I possibly could of put in but its incorrect. I don't remember it asking information ever before.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to access the backup without the correct password that was assigned at the time.
It's really frustrating because Apple's support document on this is more of a Catch 22 than anything else. You can set up a new password for new backups, but the new password won't allow you to access the old backup that you need.
