On my iPhone 15 pro max running 17.2.1 the screen sometimes for a few seconds waiting or bring up the app switcher usually fixes it although in sometimes occurs again in about a minute
any have any Ideas or having this problem

I had the exact same issue. Some apps would just freeze when I try to open them.
Uber - black screen
Expedia - just the logo, then crashes out after 30 seconds
Bullet Echo - just the logo.
To name a few. What fixed it for me is to force-restart my phone - press up, then down, then hold the right side button for ~20 seconds until it restarts.
For what it's worth, I have not been able to reproduce this anymore since upgrading to 17.5.1. It looks like Apple fixed it from their end.
Your iPhone 15 Pro Max should still be under Apple's Warranty. I recommend that you have it at the Apple Store or at an authorized service center and take advantage of it. If the stores are closed then please contact ➔ Apple Support

Wipe off your phone and re set again. You don’t need to go Apple Store. They will do the same . Very disappointed with apple phone.
My phone has randomly frozen too. Normally it unfreezes after a few seconds. However, today, it froze on this screen. We had cell reception, as I was able to voice call my mom, but took me over 10 minutes to get the reset to work. On top of that, I don’t have switch control activated on this phone. This is the third time my phone has done this to me, and I can’t figure out what I am doing before hand to make it happen again. Hard reset finally worked, but it took several tries.
Which iPhone do you have? What is your battery health percentage?

How much free space do you have on your phone?
If I call apple support they will first try restoring the phone which is a pain. If that does fix it (which it won’t) then they will tell me to do a DFU restore which is even more of a pain. The problem started with iOS 7.2 so may 7.3 will fix it
I faced the same issue yesterday and i had to reach my nearest Apple care. Technician told me that he need to completely wipe off my phone and install my iphone again. but in this whole process my data that was not backed up will be lost. And he also told me that is no any other way to unlock my iphone. and i had to say yes. but unfortunately i lost all my data as my phone was not backed up for last one year. is there any way to retrieve any photo or data?

The **** black screen! Yes!!!!! I’ve NEVER had to restart my phone so many times in more than a decade’s worth of owning an iPhone. I just got the iPhone 15 not more than two months ago! My music skips on its own as if I’m pressing the next button accidentally. Frustrating as ****

If you have your photos to a cloud service like iCloud or Dropbox you can recover them from them
