placing titles or info on each photo

How can I pick a set of about 10 photos and place the same info on them all at once instead of labeling each one.

It it's the same caption, title, keywords, or location, then in Photos you can click on the first one and command-click on each next one to continue selecting pictures. Or if the pictures are all together, you can click on the first one and shift-click on the last one in the series to include all the ones in between. Then command-i brings up the info window, and whatever you enter there will appear on all the selected images.

As Matti Haveri suggest, I use GraphicConverter to do things like copy items between info fields and to do batch operations that can't be done within Photos.

If I want to make titles with an index number to keep them in order, I use Photos Workbench which gives a plethora options for doing batch titles.

Does this help, or are you asking something different?

If the titles and descriptions and keywords should be identical, you can batch change them in the Ifo as described by Richard.

The only problem is the date and time. When we select several photos at once and use "Adjust date and time, the dates will not be set to the same date. but Photos will shift all dates and times by the same amount.

I am using an Apple Script to lift and stamp all metadata from one photo to all other selected photos. It will increment the data and time by a fixed, small amount (a minute or so) between successive photos, so they will have nearly the same time stamp, but remain sorted in the same order when sorted by the date.

Handling the date and time this way is particularly useful for scanned photos, where batch of photos taken at the same place at the same time needs to be set to the same location and date, but needs to remain sorted in some order.

To run the script, select the photos in a top level album. The scripts have not been prepared to run on albums in nested folders.
