Applications Folder is Empty

The applications folder in the Finder window is empty. I have never seen this before.

I’m using a MacBook Pro, macOS Sonoma 14.2.1.

The only thing I can think of that caused this was me accidentally deleting the Applications folder from the Finder window sidebar, and re-adding it.

I don't know how to remove this question, but I found my answer. The applications folder I added to Finder was not the "real" applications folder. I found the real folder in "Macintosh HD" and added it to Finder.
