This appears to be an Apple Watch behavior that is often seen when the Apple Watch is connected to a third party charger. If you using a genuine Apple charger then try following the instructions in this guide published by Apple 👉 If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on

Have you tried another charging cable to determine whether the current cable is still good or not?

Yes, this magnet seems far stronger. I had the watch face down and started to put the new magnet on it and the watch actually jumped up and attached itself to the cable! It started charging right away so it seems that was the problem. Thank you for your mentorship... :)

Thanks, Axel, but I had already followed those suggestions when searching today. I am up to date with OS 10.2. I finally got it to start charging today with a hard restart. And then it stopped charging after 5 minutes or so. I use the standard magnetic charger which is plugged into my house current. I got the watch last 12/25/22 and it was charging reliably until, roughly, September of this year. I now clean the back of the watch and the charger with an alcohol prep pad daily when I take it off my wrist. I attempt charging when I get up for the day. I don't know what else to do!
