Apple Pay ID number different to Apple Pay number on e-receipt

I know Apple use a different 4 digit number on Apple Pay to keep your actual card number confidential however the Apple ID number on my e-receipt doesn’t match the Apple 4 digit number on my phone which I did the Apple Pay through. As such they won’t refund me the money even though the transaction shows pending on my Apple Pay and I have all the emails/texts for the order.
