I am unable to set up Apple Watch SE (2023) GPS 40mm Starlight Aluminum Case with Starlight Sport Band work with family setup. I have an iphone 13 with operating system 17.1.2. I keep getting the message "Setting up for a family member requires a GPS+ cellular apple watcg seies 4 or later that is running watch os7.0 or later

Cannot set the cellular provider for an Apple watch using 'family mode' I have a new watch (9) with cellular+gps and I am trying to set it up in 'family' mode for my 93 year old mother. I am at the latest versions for IOS and watchOS and have no trouble pairing them and setting the appleID's. I cannot set up a cellular provider (now called mobile) as the option is greyed out. It appears to be attempting to use the provider for my Iphone even though 'family' mode is documented as allowing a different provider to be used. Again, the 'Setup mobile' option is greyed out either in the initial configuration or using the 'settings' option in the IOS watch app. My hunch is bug in the latest watch app on my phone.

Child’s location not updating on Apple Watch SE I purchased an Apple Watch SE with GPS plus cellular for my daughter. She does not have a phone. I set up her service through family share. Location updating has been an intermittent problem but has recently become almost useless. Location will not update for hours and when it does, it’s not a specified location. I get a message saying: Approximate Location We currently cannot show the precise location. Your friend is somewhere in the circle. All of our devices are updated. Please help!
