I spent a long time creating an album for a slide show on my Iphone. I want to work on it on my MacBook because of more options, yet it doesnt show up. I have done a manual syncing and I have made sure that I have current operating system updates. The album in question shows up in iCloud and Ipad but not on MacBook. other current photos are showing. I'm trying to avoid starting over.

What does the status bar show in Photos, below the "All Photos" tab in the Library view?
Is it showing "Synced just now" or "Uploading" or "Downloading"?
Or are there items shown as "On this Mac only" or "unable to upload"? If there are problematic items show, they might prevent the proper synchronisation and you have to remove these items, before the syncing can proceed.

It sounds like you are using iCloud to sync Photos on your devices, but you also refer to "manual syncing." That's unusual-- I don't manually sync since iCloud does that. Is your Mac Photos app not connected to iCloud? How has syncing worked for you before?
It could be that you just haven't waited long enough. My experience is that the pictures copy before album, and then the pictures are listed in the album. Are your pictures all there?
I think I'd make a new album with a slightly different name on Mac Photos, maybe put 1 picture in it, and see if it shows up in iCloud. If so, select all the pictures in your slideshow album and copy them to the new album that you know is on the Mac. You might be able to do something similar on your phone-- but as you say, it's all so much easier on the Mac.
Yes, there were some burst photos causing issue. At least that is my assumption after making contact with Apple Tech support several times. I ended up importing photos again, put them in a file together and then adding to Photos as an album. It's hard to answer your questions about the synced, upload, download questions because i was getting so frustrated and hopping around troubleshooting over the course of the day. Thank you for your help and response.
I only did the manual sync because nothing else was working. I did contact apple support and they had me update my operating system. I was one update behind but it didn't help. MacBook and iPhone are now current with updates. i've shut down and restarted. If I go to iCloud.com, the album in question is there but not in Photos on MacBook. Any ideas?
