I have albums set up in my photos, and as of yesterday, when I tried to add some photos from my camera roll to their specific albums they do not copy. The pictures are still in my camera roll, but don’t show in the album. The album is only at about 150 photos, I have plenty of storage space on my phone as well as iCloud. Running iOS 17.2.1

You are trying to add the photos to an album you created yourself? It is not possible to add photos to the albums created automatically by Photos for us, only to the albums we create ourselves.
Usually the photos should show up instantly in the album, when we add them.
Or is the album you try to add the photo to a shared album? When adding photos to Shared albums it may take a long time, if there is too much traffic at Apple's cloud servers or if your internet connection is poor.
If your album is a standard album and the added photos are not appearing there, you may want to check, if the album is damaged. As a test, create a new album and try to add photos to the new album. Does it work? Is it just a specific album that is acting up? Then Recreate the album and delete the previous version of the album.

When you look at your photos on your iCloud webpage at www.icloud.com, are the photos you added to the album still there? Are they shown in the albums in iCloud?
if you just installed a system update, it may take a while, until the albums are in sync again with iCloud Photos. Then stop using photos for a while and wait for the syncing with iCloud to complete before you try to modify the albums.
It is an album I created myself. It is not a shared album. I created a new album to test it and they won’t go to that one either, however they will go to other existing albums.
