My son has an Apple Watch SE with a data plan from Verizon. I’ve allowed him to contact 6 people, one being his best friend who is also on an Apple Watch. My son can send/receive calls and texts from all other 5 contacts - who have both Apple and Android phones - but can only send calls and texts to his best friend. He can’t receive calls or texts from his friend. Why?

Figured it out, but it's tricky so will explain what happened. My son unknowingly blocked his friend on his Watch which started this whole issue. Not knowing that he could block individuals on his Watch and in trying to resolve this issue, I updated his setting so that "Allow Contact Editing" was disabled (Family > Son's account > Screen Time > Communication Limits > Allow Contact Editing). By doing so, neither of us knew that we had to "Allow Contact Editing" again so he could unblock his friend through his Watch.
I enabled "Allow Contact Editing" on a lark just now, and then he noticed that he blocked his friend.
