Phone linking to another phone not the same contact

OK so here’s my problem this may or may not have happened so subject a separate from subject Z but subject linked as if I added that if I added subject, subject Z and you texted subject you know or may not know wrong time be that way, but we need to find this solution. I’m still looking I’ll let you know.

Sending message to a contact with multiple phones I have a favorite contact. There are multiple numbers like work, work-cell and personal mobile etc for the contact. I open the message and in the “TO” I type the name of the contact. It shows the list of matching contact. At the right hand side of the listing there is an arrow. Upon selecting it shows all the numbers and if I chose say personal cell , I don’t find that to be updated. It still defaults to the default contact or other contact number. Is this a bug?

Why does my iPhone say the contact name "or 2 others"? Why does my iPhone say the contact name "or 2 others". For instance, when my A calls me, it reads as "A or 2 others". To be clear, i have more than one account linked to my contact app, gmail contact, outlook contact,...etc. I don't see the "merge" option, and this is annoying, How can I get this to stop? Without sacrificing my linked contacts from more than one source?

Work and Mobile numbers are separate in contacts. Yet texts seem to be under the same thread, and no way to know which number it goes to So the contacts allow you to add a Work and Mobile number for one person. Yet when you text either it goes under one single thread and it doesn’t seem like there’s any way of knowing which number you texted, since both are under the one text thread. Any way to distinguish? Or how to know here? Thanks in advance!
