BUG: Airpods Pro 2 dropping custom transparency

I run my AirPods Pro with custom transparency due to hearing loss. The “Custom Transparency Mode” toggle in Settings keeps turning off, seemingly at random. Looking back at the community forum, this has been an issue for years. Can we get this officially recognized as a bug, especially for those of us with hearing needs? Thank you.

edit: this has been an issue for me from the time I got the AirPods, so iOS 15.x.x through the latest 17.3 public beta. iPhones from the 8 through the 14. Please don’t ask me to make sure they’re up to date. Trust me, I keep them up to date hoping that one day this very annoying bug will be squashed by a new firmware or iOS update!
