Iphone stolen, erase pending, new address detected

I got my phone stolen. I marked it as lost and requested erase. The erase is pending, but I can see that the phone got connected, I see the address and time of connections in addresses I’ve never been to.

Does it mean they were able to access data stored on my phone?

Should I wait for erase to get completed or it’s better to remove the devise from the account asap?

Thanks a lot in advance

iPhone 11, iOS 15

Did you perhaps fall for a common phishing scam: You may get a text or email from “Apple” or “Apple Security” (or sometimes “Police”) saying your phone has been found and to click on a link to see its location. This is NEVER from Apple or from law enforcement; it is from the thief or fence to steal your Apple ID and identity. Delete any such message without responding to it. Apple never gets involved in lost or stolen devices→Avoid phishing emails, fake ‘virus‘ alerts, phony support calls, and other scams

And NEVER remove the phone from your account; as long as it is connected to your account the phone is useless to the thief (unless you were a victim of the above scam).
