Change from double clicking to single clicking
MacBook Pro Max with Sonoma OS - I would like to change the double-clicking to open an object to a single click like the option in Windows. Is there a way to do this?

I've used Logitech mice for a long, long time. Quite a few years back though, their software became rather buggy. At least on the Mac side.
Instead, I've been using SteerMouse for at least the past five major releases of macOS. Works great to assign a double click to the wheel button. I honestly can't remember the last time I did an actual double click.
SteerMouse can be run for a while in demo mode so you can see if it will work for you before purchasing. You'll see the list of "Recommended Mice" at the right, of which yours is one of those listed. But that doesn't mean they're the only ones that will work.
I've always preferred simple mice. Left button, right button and the center scroll wheel that doubles as a third button. An M330 as my current mouse.
System Setting >> Trackpad
Refer to image below to enable Single Click using the Builtin Trackpad
Thank you for your quick response. The change you suggested works on the trackpad. I forgot to mention that I run the MacBook with a second display with the cover closed so I don't use the trackpad. I was looking for a way to get the single clicking on my Logitech MX Anywhere 3s mouse.
Sorry third party mice are often problematic and require third party software to be installed to get full functionality
Suggest checking with the Maker of this mouse for all above mentioned software and functionalities
