Unable to plug USB-C into MacBook

I’ve had this MacBook for 6 months and usually I can plug USB-C into both of the ports on the side. All of a sudden both ports refuse to accept the USB-c. I physically cannot plug into either port. It goes in half way. I can see clearly into both ports and there appears to be nothing obstructing, no dust or debris. This is seriously frustrating.

Then either there is debris in both ports that you can't see, but is still present, or the ports are damaged. At this point, you will need to take your laptop to either an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.
