Importing Windows Media Player playlists into iTunes as a playlist

I imported the music library from WMP to iTunes with no problem. I can create new playlists in iTunes with no problem. However, I can't seem to figure out how to import all of my old Windows Media File playlists into iTunes. I even tried changing the playlist to an M3U file, then going to iTunes, File, Library, and Import Playlist. It just adds an empty file to the playlists.

It takes way too long to recreate all of my old playlists from scratch. There HAS to be an easier way! Please help...

Sorry, but that doesn't work for me. I did save the playlist in WMP as an M3U file and I tried to drag it directly from WMP into iTunes under Playlist. Nothing. It even showed the circle with the line through it as I tried to drag it over. Also, I tried dragging the file from the playlist folder located in the Music folder. That transferred the title, but nothing else. This is VERY frustrating...
