Books app not showing up in icloud

I’ve downloaded multiple PDF’s over time to my Books app. Had to wipe my iPad Air (5th gen running 17.2) and assumed they were all in the cloud since the settings seemed to indicate they were.

But after the wipe, only books/PDF’s I’ve downloaded since are in Books and I don’t see the books app in iCloud, or any way to make Books show up. I’m hoping I’ve just missed figuring out how to see the PDF’s and I’ve not lost them all.

Any help?

Books on Apple Books are missing I download PDFs of books or articles online and I like reading them on Apple Books since I can highlight things and add annotations that are saved to both my laptop and phone. Today I tried opening a book and noticed that all of my books and PDFs were gone. I looked at the original downloaded PDFs in my files and all of the highlights and annotations are gone. I am doing research so this is very inconvenient, I cant just lose all that work. What happened and how can I get the highlights back?

Apple Books Keeps Deleting My Books How do I prevent the Books apps from deleting (moving to the cloud) copies of my books? This is extremely frustrating as I find myself on a plane or a boat or somewhere without Internet access and my books miraculously deleted. It's not a storage saving issue because my books take up less than a GB and I've got hundreds of GB of free space. I don't see an option in settings to prevent books from being deleted. Is there a workaround to this bug?

Downloaded books getting offloaded from Books app on iPad mini. My books keep getting offloaded from the Books app. I’ve been reading on Books for nearly a decade now, but about a few months back, my books kept getting offloaded and I would have to download them back again. I understand this is due to iCloud, and has to do with device storage but I have well over 30GB or so to spare, and I’m getting tired of downloading my hundreds of books again and again when I wanna read them.
