Using menu or Ctrl R is not rendering clips in FCP

Hi,

'Rendering All' doesn't render all my clips ( hundred of them ). so I see those doted lines in many clips still. when I try to manually render them ( not ideal as it is too much of involvement ) using CTR R ( or though menu ) by selecting each one of them and choosing "render selected" then its a hit or miss. sometimes FCP renders the clip and at other times it does nothing. I have restarted computer, did everything. what am I missing?

why am I rendering? well, when I try to export my project then I get a message that some background processes are still working- stabilisation ( nothing shows though ). hence I am manually renewing those leftist clips in the hope of a crash free export of my file.

see the image below as an example. trying to render this file is not doing anything.

first 2 yes. what's the third point you have written? how do we do it?

I believe that something may have been lost in translation, and what LocaAlicia meant was to delete FCP preferences. Hold down Command and Option while starting FCP a click "Delete Preferences".

The application will start with an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, and try again.
