I got an air tag for Christmas and added it to "Find My" on my iPhone 12 without any problems. Now I want to add the same air tag to my wife's iPhone 12 "Find My" app but the phone won't display the "connect" command. Any suggestions for how to make this work?

AirTags are tied to the Apple ID that has been used to register the AirTag. If you have a different Apple ID, you can't add it to your devices or use "Find my" to locate it.
No we don't use the same password but Phil0124 offered a link explaining how to share an air tag and it worked. Thanks for responding today.
To use the AirTag on two different phones, both phones would have to be set up to use the same Apple ID and same Apple ID Password.
Do both you and your wife use the same Apple ID and Password on each of the phones?
