How to drag contacts into a numbers spreadsheet

If you are using Numbers on a Mac, you can selected contacts and drag them onto a table. It does not appear that you can drag a group to a table but you can open the group in Contacts, select everyone in it, and drag them to a table. One thing I notice is that once you have dragged and dropped some contacts into a table, if you drag/drop some more it will not add new columns. So, for example, if none in the first bunch had a "work" phone number but some in the second bunch do, it will not create a new column for the work phone number, it will leave it off.
