I get emails from people on my contact list that they didn't send?

I get emails from people on my contact list that they didn't send.

I'm using an iMac with MacOS Mojave.

Any help would be appreciated.

Outgoing emails from my Mac come back to me three days later addressed to me. Recipient never receives. Sporadic problem with apple email account. Happens about twice a week. Emails not being received by the recipient. Sending from Mac Pro desktop. The emails I am sending show up in my "sent" folder so I have no indication there is a problem but then three days or so later I receive the email back, addressed to myself, as if I originally sent it that way (to myself). I then ask the intended recipient if they ever received it and the answer is always "no". Using OS is Sonoma 14.5 Help!

Blocking email contact doesn't work I'm getting a lot of junk mail all of a sudden. I've started blocking them but I keep getting more from the same email address. I'm using the Mail software on my iMac M1, Sonoma 14.2.1.

Receiving two identical eMails Guys and Girls, Occasionally, every day, I am receiving two identical eMails. After reading I can only delete one of them. The only way to delete the other is to quit Mail and restart. Also, without deleting either I can restart Mail and one of them disappears. Strange. Any suggestions? That would not be something with your Mac, that is likely due to an issue with your ISP, please start there. Another possibility is if you have any of the following types of third party apps installed:

Antivirus
cleaning
security
maintenance
VPN

all of these types of apps can cause the behaviour you are complaining about.

Finally, please restart in Safe Mode.
