Trying to set up Family sharing with my adult son. Family sharing is already set up, and working, with my wife. When I send him the invitation he gets an error
He lives less than an hour away in the same state.
Any assistance greatly and gratefully appreciated.
Purchase sharing is on. I have tried an invite to his phone number and in an email to his Apple ID. No joy.

Great you found a solution that works for you but that doesn’t help us because the invitee is a child account. That account cannot be the organizer. Apple is dropping the ball on this big time. They are aware of this issue and not providing a solution or software fix is unacceptable on an 800 dollar device.
Yes, I'm having the same problem too. All Apple IDs are set to UK, but we get the "wrong country" message.

missed a step in my replay - after step 4 you want to log back in to media and purchases and that should fix the problem. - please go to my previous comment for the steps.

Well I hope what I just did works for you,
I was having the same issue with my son and what we did is, when you are sending the invite to join your family, select the option that appears below called "Invite in person", the other person will have to input Apple ID and password and then follow the screens until the end. I did it just now and it worked for me. It also works with child accounts, we did it with my little son
Are there any solutions yet? I am trying to add my mom and i keep getting the wrong country code. Please. How are we paying for a share plan and I can not share it.
