Hello, I am planning to make a ram upgrade on my 27'' 2020 iMac. Current ram is PC4-21333. The ones on the market are all PC-4 21300. Does anyone know if this makes a difference in terms of compatibility and performance?

The tech specs for the 2020 iMacs call for 2666 MHz PC4-21300 DDR4 SDRAM SO-DIMMs (260-pin).
You could try the Crucial system scanner to have it tell you exactly what is compatible.
I also recommend either OWC or Crucial upgrades.

FWIW both OWC and Crucial list their modules as PC4-21300.
Yes there is no thing as PC4-21333 anywhere else also. I checked Crucial. If they say it is compatible, i don't think there will be a problem. Thank you for your reply.

Anyway on my Mac it says Rams are 2667 MHz :)) So I am not counting on that. I checked crucial and found a few alternatives. Thank you very much.
When upgrading RAM on iMacs please note they are very sensitive to using quality RAM. Please only use Crucial.com or Macsales.com RAM. You will find the cost is very competitive and both vendors offer life time warranties and offer excellent service. In short there is NO reason to buy elsewhere.
Do not buy RAM from other sources as it may cause unusual behavior and may fail prematurely.
