Photos may not be deleted

Dear All ,

Is this any possibility that after erase all content and setting still some data like photos in hidden folder cannot be deleted due to some hardware issue or any-other issue? Beacuse i sold my old device but after erase all content and setting , i did not check the device before giving it to the new owner .

Lost most of my photos due to bad service Hello! Last my mom went to Apple and she changed my iPhone from 14 Pro Max 128gb to 16 Pro Mac 256gb. I couldn't go because I lived in another country. But, the person that made my iPhone change only synched my iCloud even though my mother told the person to pass all the data in my iPhone the employee didn't and my mother didn't know because she doesn't understand much technology, and the available storage for it was 50gb, is there any chance I can get my photos back? I have many precious memories there and I really don't wanna lose it because of this mistake.

Lost thousands of photos after iOS 18.2 software update I updated my iphone 15 pro max to iOS 18.2 and later discovered that my priceless memories of me and my family accumulated over many years captured in photos and videos have been wiped out. I called Apple support centre and they say nothing can be done. I was told I am not the first to experience this. But if Apple is aware of this issue, why not warn its customers of the risks involved in updating the software on their devices? Why not have something like a pop-up each time we want to update our devices warning us of the risks involved in doing so? I can't find the right words to express my rage, frustration and above all my disappointment. Is there truly no way for me to recover my photos and videos?

If on your phone you did Settings>General>Reset, then everything is all gone. You're OK

If you erased the disk then you erased everything.

Sorry Bro , I did not understand your reply kindly clarify it , what do u mean by disk ?
