Mac Mail adds iCloud to some Favourites

(This only happens on my M1 MacBook Air, not on my M2 Mac mini.)

In Mac Mail, I like to keep the sidebar closed and instead use the Favourites bar.

On my Mac mini this works fine, but my MacBook Air adds - iCloud to some of the mailbox names, which spoils the readability and appearance of the Favourites bar. See them underlined in red on the attachment.

I simply drag the mailbox from the sidebar onto the Favourites bar... and I cannot work out why on one Mac Mail this works nicely, but not on the other.

Is there an explanation / fix?

All software is latest version.

I have seen this complaint before

you can submit your Apple Feedback here: Feedback - Mail - Apple

Turn off the option in Mail>View>Hide Favorites Bar

with a sidebar it is unnecessary

you can try instead of drag & drop using the + Add to favorites and see if you can create what you are looking for...

+ Add makes no difference.

As a reminder, my question was:

"I cannot work out why on one Mac Mail this works nicely, but not on the other. Is there an explanation / fix?"

Thanks.
