Touch Bar word suggestion stuck in Pinyin when switching

When I am writing, the touch bar on my model ( Macbook Pro 2022 13-inch)(MacOs: Sonoma 14.2.1)

it usually has a convenient word-suggestion popup, which helps a lot with writing. I usually end up switching languages very often which usually works just fine, switching from English to French for example does the same in the touch bar, but when I switch to Pinyin, and then back to English or any other language, the word suggestions remain in Pinyin effectively making the touch bar's word suggestion feature useless until I close the application I am using completely ( I have run into the same issue on multiple apps) and than re-open it.

Does anybody know how to fix this?
