Text message forwarding is a convenient feature available for forwarding SMS and iMessage conversations from an iPhone to another iPhone, iPad, and Mac. However, it's important to note that text message forwarding functionality is limited to communication between an iPhone and either an iPad or a Mac. For this feature to work, all the devices involved must be signed in using the same Apple ID.
This integration allows you to receive and respond to text messages and iMessages across multiple Apple devices, ensuring continuity and accessibility regardless of which device you're currently using. By activating text message forwarding in your iPhone's settings and enabling the feature on your iPad or Mac, you can effortlessly view and reply to messages from any of your synced devices.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding. If you don't see Text Message Forwarding, go to Settings > Messages. Turn off iMessage, then turn it back on. Tap Send & Receive, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage, then sign in with the same Apple ID used on your other devices.
