Why does my iPad go onto restore screen after it loses battery?

Every time my iPad battery dies completely and I put it to charging, it flashes the “restore” sign, but I never have to plug it into a laptop, I just hold the power button and randomly press it. A bunch of times and then it restarts as normal. I JUST got this iPad one month ago and it’s been doing this since I bought it. Is this a faulty iPad or am I doing something wrong? I have never dropped it or spilled anything on it either.
