Can you replace the MagSafe power on a MacBook Pro M1 with a USB C charger using one of the USB C ports?

I'd like to upgrade my passive hub with a powered hub to supply power to external disk drives for TimeMachine. Seems any hub that has power assumes you have a MacBook Pro that doesn't use the MagSafe.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.1

Your MacBookPro can be charged either via the MagSafe or the USB-C port. See the information in the following: Charge your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro - Apple Support

Be sure to note the information in that article about USB-C cables supporting different maximum power wattages.
