adding a second gmail to email app on iPhone 14Pro

I go to Settings>Mail>Accounts>Add Account, choose Google it then wants me to sign in with Google. I do that then it asks for email account and password. Once I am successfully logged into Google it tells me to go to my android device to get a one time security code to verify my identity. I go to Google and I sign in with the password for that device. Then I go to Settings>Security to get a one time code to use. It provides me with 2 codes neither which work ("wrong code. Try again").

  1. When I add the gmail account do I enter the email account name and password for that account?
  2. Why does it require a security code?
  3. Why does it not accept the security code I have?
  4. Is there another way to add the gmail account without requiring a security code

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 17
