A China unionpay card is listed in my Apple Wallet as a means of payment

Did you maybe click as link or scan a QR code and forgot about it?

Maybe added it from an App for some reason, and generally forgot about it?

Cards can't get added to your Wallet App without your intervention.

Do you remember doing something that may have caused it to appear there?

It’s actually in your Apple Wallet app on your iPhone? Do you have a screenshot you can share? Do you have a link to a couple of other posts regarding finding a China Union Pay card in their Apple Wallet app?

Same thing happened to me and countless others if you search about it. I know for a fact that I never did anything to invite any cards with china affiliation. If you think a scam for this isn’t possible then perhaps you are not as smart as you think.

I too just discovered a China Union Pay Card in my iPhone wallet! I am very confident that I did not choose this card or engage in any business with a China business of absolutely in kind , past or current. I find it highly suspicious and irresponsible that Apple has not provided a clear answer or acted with integrity for an issue regarding security which has been an Apple stronghold since the beginning. As numerous other individuals discovering this uninvited and unauthorized payment option in their wallet, and especially inasmuch as only the owner can add or access payment methods, the issue raises serious questions. Whichever way you look at it, so many users are experiencing this breach of security, Apple’s failed responses or interests supports their collusion. There is no justifiable reason for this to happen and the motivation is frightening.
