Private browsing allowed even with Screen time “limit adult websites” set

Even with screen time set to “limit adult websites”, iOS 17 still allows private browsing. This was not the case with iOS 16. I would like to block private browsing through screen time but I don't see a way to do it any longer. Please help.

I always thought that the screen time setting ‘limit adult websites’ prevented private browsing. It’s important to note that the issue only occurs on my iPad and not my iPhone - the ‘new private window’ option is only available on my iPad and not my iPhone which makes me think that it may be a glitch or bug that needs to be fixed. I would appreciate any help and advice to prevent this being visible or accessible. Ideally I would like a way to disable private browsing altogether including this ‘new private window’ option.

Screen time / blocking a site Hi their , even when I set restrictions on my iPhone to block adult sites , it’s still giving the option to allow the site on safari? Surely the idea of this is to stop children unlocking the site, but it’s as easy as clicking allow when it’s giving you the option when you try to go on a restricted site? how do I permanently block sites without the option of unlocking as easily ?

How can I permanently disable Private Browsing on my iPhone 14 Safari? I would like to permanently disable private browsing on my iPhone 14. The iOS is 18.4.1 and I already have content restrictions on. For some reason, private browsing is still enabled even after turning on content restrictions. To clarify, I am not talking about switching between private browsing and regular browsing, I am asking to completely disable my phone from having the option of private browsing.
