ROKU has had many problems with the Apple TV app and there are many articles on the ROKU website that have expressed the same frustration. Some users have been able to resolve the problem by removing the Apple TV app and then downloading it again. After that sign in again to Apple TV and test.

Apple TV app yields “Unable to play” for the past two days. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now it won’t even load - just shows a spinning icon.
