iMac with Catalina 10.15.7 receiving messages about buying an antivirus software.

Recently i received a lot of messages about my computer on the risk and need to buy antivirus software.how remove it?


I have imac late 2013 with catalonia10.15.7.

Hey there!


It sounds like you might have allowed browser push notifications from fraudulent websites. To check, open Safari, then choose Preferences > Websites, then scroll down and choose Notifications. Remove any sites shown.


If you still see this, you may have accidentally installed adware. To check and remove any, you can use the free version of Malwarebytes for Mac.
