Airdrop between iPhone and Apple Watch

I actually got it to do it but I think what’s happening is since it’s your own devices and you’re acting as if you are attempting to do Name Drop when you keep doing it the watch is assuming you are actually trying to communicate with a tap to pay screen (thanks to the NFC chip in the phone). It knows you’re not trying to share your contact info because the watch already has it.

Yeah it’s just a theory but since Name Drop will only swap new contacts not ones you already have even if you update it then it’s likely trying to force it is making the watch assume you’re at a terminal because of the chip. Under normal circumstances I don’t think people would repeatedly “tap” their own iPhone and watch to force such a confusion. Honestly not something I would have ever done if I wasn’t trying to replicate what you were experiencing….especially if I’m wearing my watch unless other options for the feature became available in the future. Still a great idea that you sent feedback though.

Can’t duplicate what you’re describing. Name Drop/Bring devices together yes but not what you’re describing with Apple Pay coming on
