Updating to iTunes 12 on OS 10.15.7
My iMac runs OS 10.15.7 and there seems to be no iTunes update for this OS yet there are versions of itunes 12 for older OS versions? Why? How can I update my iTunes on this older Mac?

The iTunes app for Mac computers was discontinued and replaced when macOS Catalina (10.15) was released. It cannot be installed on Macs that are running Catalina or later. See the following Apple article for information about the replacement apps: What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support
