Removing multiple row entries in Numbers

I am trying to help my 94 year father in law organise a large spreadsheet into smaller ones. When cutting and pasting from one to the other I have ended up with some rows duplicated. I need to work out a simple way of removing large number of duplicate rows as trying to do this one by one is too time consuming. Any help/advise welcome. The information relates to post boxes so each row starts with a unique number followed by columns containing other information relating to that box.

You should consider using an 'is distinct' filter, something like this:

For this example I assumed each row has values in only two columns, A and B. The original unfiltered table looked like this:

In column C I "concatenated" the values to derive a value that represents the entire row. It's a simple formula =A2&B2, filled down the column. You would probably do similar perhaps with more columns so it would be =A2&B2&C2 etc.

Then I clicked the C at the top of column C, chose 'Show Filter Options', and set up the filter as shown in the screenshot.

Now duplicates of rows are no longer shown.

Select the visible cells in the filtered table, command-c to copy, click once in the upper-left a cell of a destination table that you have already prepared and command-v to paste.

The new table will no longer contain the duplicated rows.

All of this should take less than 5 minutes to try.
