Blank Background Tasks Window

This has been going on for a couple years now, finally getting around to seeing if anyone else has run across this. My background tasks window is completely blank, even when tasks are running. Doesn't matter what task should be running, it's always blank. See screenshot - you can see that there's tasks running (making proxies), but the task window has nothing in it.

I suspect this happened when I migrated from my old iMac to a newer MBP in 2021, but no idea why that would cause this issue. The issue has been present through multiple FCP and MacOS updates.

Any thoughts on what could be going on or how I could fix this?

In this case, I'd download "FCS Remover" (free) from Digital Rebellion, and use that to remove FCPX, Motion, and Compressor. This app will remove all the system files left behind when you simply move an app into the trash. I've found several issues over the years solved by doing this.
