CarPlay Apple Maps v Waze

Apple don’t allow Waze and Google Maps to integrate with my car beyond the infotainment screen. Apple Maps will display on the Head Up Display and car nav features. Why is this? Android nav apps all integrate

Carplay Maps Always On Just bought a car that has Apple Carplay. When it first turns on, it goes to the homescreen/first screen and it automatically starts Apple Maps. I do not like that it is using my Cellular Data as I am on a limited plan. Is there a way of removing maps from turning on automatically? I still want maps, but I want to be able to decide when it opens. I don't want to remove the app or turn off data as I still want my text message to come in. Any help would be appreciated.

Maps in Apple CarPlay off I upgraded a few months ago to the iPhone 12 Pro. (Has X before) ever since all map features in Apple CarPlay in my VW 2020 Tiguan are off. The navigation keeps putting me in different locations as I drive causing continues rerouting. Also seems to be delays that are related, like it will show I’m three blocks back from where I actually am. This makes navigation very difficult. I had no issues before...wondering if this is a bug or I need to update Apple CarPlay somehow? I seem to have the issue with both Apple Maps and google maps.
