Working from an external HD in final cut pro

Hi,

I've just received a Samsung T7 SSD external HD that I bought specifically to give me more space to work on FCP projects.

My question is, am I better to drag and store individual FCP projects onto that drive and work from them, or drag and store my entire FCP library on the external?

FCP projects cannot be outside an FCP library. Depending on your system setup, computer, drives, it might be better to keep the library on the system drive and make sure all the media including original media, generated media, and render files are stored on the external drive.
