As of Version 1.4.2.83 of Apple Music, you now select the media track/file/song you want to convert, Select File-> Convert->Create MP3 Version, and then Apple Music will create an MP3 version of the file selected from your current media library. If the .aac file isn't already in your library, there isn't an option that you can choose to open an .aac file and then have it converted. The file must already be in your media library.
Apple Music/iTunes converts aac to mp3 tracks. Just right click the music file you want to convert and go from there.
