I am curious if the IPad 6 mini WIFI model supports the e-sim possibility. Can anyone enlighten me ? Many thanks in advance.

No strictly wi-fi model iPad supports an eSIM. Apple does manufacture an iPad Mini 6 cellular model that does support eSIM.
Additionally, hopefully you realize a cellular model iPad is not a cellular telephone - it only allows cellular data.

No Wi-Fi iPad has cellular hardware, so no cellular data, and no SIM or eSIM, and no switching providers.
Any data will be via Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspot, or via MiFi or Jetpack from a carrier.
If you want to directly use cellular communications for iPad data, you will meed a cellular model and a data plan.
WiFi only models do not allow any sort of cellular data to be used. They do not have the hardware required to be able to communicate with cellular towers. If you wish to use an iPad and get data capabilities you’ll need to purchase an iPad with cellular capabilities. Then you’ll have to find a new model to get a version that can support eSIM.

Thanks for your answer. Meaning if i read it correctly that i need a ipad mini (newer model) with WIFI + Cellular to be able to use e-sim(s) with data plan to use across multiple countries. Is that correct ?

Many thanks. It’s clear to me. Have a nice day.
“Newer” model? No. “Different” model? Yes.
