Where’s the three dot icon at the top right in files app.

I’m trying to connect to a server on my new iPad - all the instructions say to click the three dot icon on the top right. But I don’t have a three dot icon. See image. What’s going on? Other apps also are missing icons in the top right. Is this an iPad bug?

Click on the area that I have circled. This will bring up the side menu allowing you to pick where you want to get your files from. This has the 3 dots that you are talking about and you’ll be able to add additional services.
