Got the new gen 3 AirPods. Have barely owned them for 2-3 weeks and the left one doesn’t connect half the time then when it does it sounds terrible and has really bad static. Tried cleaning them and it has only made it worst.

You may have a defective left AirPod. You can the try and reset the AirPods and see whether that resolves the issue. If the issue does not get resolved then you should have them examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.
