The Apple TV Remote only sends commands to the Apple TV box. It doesn’t do or help with what you are describing.
The USB-C port on the latest model remote is only for charging the battery inside the remote.
The Apple TV box doesn’t capture from external sources. The USB port on pre-4K models doesn’t support video. That port was only for “service and support”, i.e. reinstalling the system software.
FaceTime uses an iPhone/iPad/Mac built-in camera, and optionally its own screen capture — not Apple TV, not DRM’ed content.
